    Best Alternative Energy for Home

The trend toward homes which are powered by renewable energy sources, ranging from wind turbines and solar collection cells to hydrogen fuel cells and biomass gases, is one that needs to continue in the 21st century and beyond. We have great need for becoming more energy independent, and not having to count on the supplying of non-renewable fuels from unstable nations that are often hostile to us and our interests. But even beyond this factor, we as individuals need to get “off the grid” and in addition stop having to be so just a few government-lobbying giant oil corporations who, while they're not really involved in any covert conspiracy, nevertheless have a stranglehold on people in terms of heating their  homes (if not through oil, then heat usually offered by grid-driven electricity, another stranglehold).

As Remi Wilkinson, Senior Analyst with Carbon Free, puts it, inevitably, the development of distributed generation will lead to the restructuring of the retail electricity market as well as the generation, transmission and distribution infrastructure. The power providers may have to diversify their business to make up for revenues lost through household energy microgeneration. She is speaking about the conclusions with a group of UK analysts, herself included one of them, who call themselves Carbon Free. Carbon Free continues to be studying the ever-growing trend toward renewable energy-using homes in England along with the West. This trend is being driven by ever-more government recommendation and quite often backing of renewable energy research and development, ever rising cost of oil and other fossil fuels, concern about environmental degradation, and wants to be energy independent. Carbon Free concludes that, assuming traditional energy prices stop at their current level or rise, microgeneration (meeting most of one's home's energy needs by installing renewable energy technology for example solar panels or wind turbines) can become to home energy supply what the Internet became to home communications and data gathering, and finally this will have deep effects around the businesses in the existing energy supply companies.

Carbon Free's analyses also reveal that energy companies themselves have jumped in about the game  and seek to leverage microgeneration to their own personal advantage for checking new markets by themselves. Carbon Free cites the instance of electricity companies (in the UK) reporting that they are seriously researching and developing ideas for new geothermal energy facilities, since these companies see geothermal energy production like a highly profitable wave from the future. Another conclusion of Carbon Free is solar energy hot water heating technology is a great technology for reducing home water heating costs over time, eventhough it is initially quite expensive to install.  However, solar powered energy is not yet cost-effective for corporations, as they require a lot of in the means of specialized plumbing to implement solar power hot water heating. Lastly, Carbon Free lets us know that installing wind turbines is a great way of reducing home electricity costs, while being more independent. However, again that is initially a very expensive thing to have installed, and companies would prosper to begin slashing their prices on these devices or they might find themselves losing business.
